Recently Microsoft released the first update of the year for Xbox One owners in the Preview program. The latter provided several new features including an Avatar Store built directly into the Avatars App....
The following video I did – see below – showcases what this looks like in action, but in a nutshell the beauty of the store is that it allows you browse for items and then see a real-time preview of them (the right side of the screen showcases your Avatar) before you buy.
You can also browse for a few Free items but the only downside I could see so far is that the store does not have a search or filter system; so if you wanted to find something specific it is a little harder to find content.
Also the Game related items are 360/Arcade based because the latter was predominately a feature on the 360 and has not yet been fully implemented into the Xbox One.
Even so it’s good to see Microsoft bringing the focus back on Avatars; which for me was a fun feature of the previous gen console.
